69th Venice Film Festival – È stato il figlio: face to face with Toni Servillo and Daniele Ciprì
“È stato il figlio” is the first Italian film in competition at the 69th Venice Film Festival. The film, directed by Daniele Ciprì, tells the story of a penniless Sicilian family that after losing a daughter believes it can have a great compensation from the State. A very realistic cross-section of contemporary Italian society that sees in wealth the only respectable social status.
In the role of the patriarch is chameleon-like Toni Servillo that we will see again in Marco Bellocchio‘s “La Bella Addormentata“.
At the Lido we met the actor and the director Ciprì.
