69th Venice Film Festival – È stato il figlio: face to face with Toni Servillo and Daniele Ciprì

È stato il figlio” is the first Italian film in competition at the 69th Venice Film Festival. The film, directed by Daniele Ciprì, tells the story of a penniless Sicilian family that after losing a daughter believes it can have a great compensation from the State. A very realistic cross-section of contemporary Italian society that sees in wealth the only respectable social status.

In the role of the patriarch is chameleon-like Toni Servillo that we will see again in Marco Bellocchio‘s “La Bella Addormentata“.

At the Lido we met the actor and the director Ciprì.
