71st Venice Film Festival – From Owen Wilson to Andrew Garfield, Hollywood on the Venice Lido
99 Homes and She’s Funny That Way’s Hollywood celebrities and the first Italian film in competition were the highlights of the Festival’s third day. Michael Shannon and Andrew Garfield moved the audience with their interpretations in Rhamin Bahrani’s 99 Homes, a film about the story of a family man evicted from his home. Different tune for the smart comedy by Peter Bogdanovich starring Owen Wilson, Kathrine Hahn and Jennifer Aniston. Also acclaimed, Anime Nere by Francesco Munzi the first Italian film presented in competition. The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement was handed out to American director Frederick Wiseman. We met Isabella Ferrari, Renato De Maria and Clement Metayer for La Vita Oscena, the film based on Aldo Nove autobiography with the same name.
