Mommy in cinemas – The all-absorbing film by young director Xavier Dolan

And you, have you ever loved too much? It is the last question we asked Xavier Dolan, the young Canadian filmmaker who directed Mommy, the mesmerizing film that won the jury prize at the latest Cannes Film Festival. A film that tells the story of an extreme love between a mother and her troubled son affected by attention deficit disorder. Dolan uses 1:1 as image format and makes the film and the viewer’s perception even more intimate, more empathetic. The performances of the leading actors – Anne Dorval, Suzanne Clément and fascinating Antoine Olivier Pilon – are the feathers in the cap of a project that definitely put Dolan among the young prodigy authors of international cinema. You’ll find the answer to our question in the video.
