EICMA 2014: Brough Superior – The SS100 in titanium and carbon fiber
The name is the same, but it’s been 90 years since the first Brough Superior SS100 was launched first on the UK market and then internationally, proving so successful as to be called the “Rolls-Royce” of motorcycles. Also Lawrence of Arabia was fatally attracted by it, and bought more than one. At the time the number “100” stood for the top speed in miles (about 160 km per hour). Today it’s more than 200. But its charm is the same, and the object is precious: to buy it you need 70,000 Euros including VAT.
