From Bacon to The Beatles – Art can be listened to in Milan
Original and out of any formats. The first exhibition with its own soundtrack is the result of the researches – carried out over more than one year – of its two young curators, Chiara Gatti and Michele Tavola. “From Bacon to The Beatles” (New images in Europe during the years of rock and roll) analyses, as if they were two parallel rails, the research on the figure that over the 50s and 60s led to the visual revolution of masters such as Giacometti, Dubuffet and Bacon, and the contemporary musical revolution, that from The Beatles led to Pink Floyd, embracing Elvis, Hendrix, Joan Baez, Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger, and highlights influences and reciprocal inspirations.
70 are the works, sculptures and paintings, public and private, on display at Palazzo della Permanente in via Filippo Turati, 34, Milan. Until January 1, 2012.
