Gianni Berengo Gardin – The great photography of tradition
Already referred to as, at the beginning of his career, as “the Italian Cartier-Bresson”, he’s now one of the most famous photographers of the Italian and International scene. The artist does not only catch the moment, but tells stories, making them everlasting on films. Pictures taken by Gardin tell us about a “black and white trip” that poetically unveils a reality which is constantly changing.
We met the famous photographer from Liguria in the occasion of “Fotografica 11”, exhibition dedicated to the world of images. He told us his point of view on language, meaning and the role played by photography.
