Ron English – Double Elvis in Milan
Ron English, one of the maestros of American Pop Surrealism known for his rehashes and interpretations of famous works of art, collaborated with Absolut for the creative project Absolut Wallpaper. The American artist created an original reassessment of the famous Andy Warhol “Double Elvis” on the wall of the columns of San Lorenzo in Milan and called it: “Elvis, Elvis”. A few days before he created a reassessment of Pablo Picasso’s Guernica: “X-Ray Guernica” on the Frigorifero in Rome. The artist tells us his story and explains that according to him, “you are born an artist, you don’t become one”.
