The McLaren 650S in Geneva – The evolution of the English sports car
McLaren renews its challenge to iconic Made in Italy super cars and unveils the new 650S at the Geneva Motor Show. The latest production of the manufacturer from Woking (produced in about 1000 units per year) is available in both coupe and spider versions and it was developed starting from the platform of the MP4-12C, with which it also shares the powerful 3.8 twin-turbo V8 engine. Here, the 8-cylinder engine, however, is boosted by 25 horsepower, reaching a total capacity of 650. Moreover, the “S” in its name means sports car and implies true number one performances: 333 km/h of peak (for the 329 Spider) and 3 seconds flat to burn the 0-100. We interviewed Alessandro Gori, Sales manager McLaren Milan.
