Mark Ronson: Uptown Special – Funk, soul and R&B on my best record
He started deejaying in New York clubs in the 90s, where hip-hop, R&B, and funk made people – who only were there to dance – dance. Today, he is one of the most respected and beloved producers and DJs. People are going crazy for his “Uptown Funk” feat. Bruno Mars, and, recently, he has released his album “Uptown Special” (Sony). His best so far, he says. He is Mark Ronson and we met him with a group of journalists in Milan. We spoke about Michael Chabon (Pulitzer Prize) with which he wrote the lyrics to the album, Stevie Wonder who played in the record, Amy Winehouse, Nile Rodgers and much more.
