The Aquarium of Genova – A close look at the sea

Built in the occasion of 1992’s Expo, on the fifth anniversary of Cristoforo Colombo’s New Continent’s discovery, with more than 1,200,000 visitors every year the Aquarium of Genova established itself as one of the main Italian cultural attractions and it’s the only one in Europe to exhibit antarctic animals.

We met Stefano Angelini, Educational Services Manager, to hear from him some curiosities linked to the structure’s history and how important the awareness campaign the aquarium engaged in is.
